Understanding Token Calls

Learn how to interpret token calls and understand the various metrics we use to evaluate their performance. This guide will help you make better-informed trading decisions.

Anatomy of a Token Call

A typical token call includes:

  • Token Symbol: The symbol of the token
  • Token Contract: The unique address of the token on Base
  • Time since Call: The time since the call was made (eg. 10 minutes ago)
  • Call PNL: The PNL of the call.
  • Call PNL High: The PNL of the call at the highest market cap.
  • Status: The status of the call (eg. Win, Neutral, Loss).
  • Call badge: The badge/badges of the call(eg. insufficient liquidity, Call number, deep loss, etc.)
  • Quick Buy Button: Button to buy the token using MevX.
  • Entry Price: The price at which the call was made.
  • Current Price: The current price of the token.
  • Entry Market Cap: The market cap of the token when the call was made.
  • Current Market Cap: The current market cap of the token.
  • Highest Market Cap: The highest market cap of the token since the call was made.
  • Time to ATH: The time it took for the token to reach its highest market cap (eg. 10 minutes).

Performance Metrics

We track several metrics to evaluate call performance:

  • Current Gain/Loss: Current percentage change from entry price
  • Peak Gain: Highest percentage gain achieved
  • Time to ATH: How long it took to reach the highest market cap
  • Holding Period: Duration since the call was made

Success Criteria

We classify calls based on their performance:

  • Win: Reached 100% or more gain
  • Neutral: Between 0% and 99% gain
  • Loss: Lost 0% or more value
